Pulled into parking and didnt notice the slightly steep incline, and scraped the bottom sides of the front bumper. I’m pretty shattered about it, any idea how difficult it would be to fix? And a rough cost? ?

That's nothing compared to the one I got the other day just pulling out of my driveway. If you look closely at the front wheel from far enough away you can actually see some scrape peeking out close to where yours is at. I'll probably just touch up the edges so it's not as noticeable unless you're looking for it.

I have a flat driveway with the standard new style rolled curbs- not the ones that are square. I suspect it's just part of ownership with these cars. If I fix it it'll likely happen again. I'm even used to driving lowered and it still got me.

I repaired mine and it happened again in a non paved car park.. can't win.. just left it for the time being as much as it hurts me. As a reference I got quoted around $800 from Alfa to respray the front to blend it properly though I went to a well regarded place in town and they were in the $400 range. Not sure if you'll need to redo as much as me though (would need a zoom out pic)

Let us know if you get it done.. certainly feel your pain and know that drive to get it fixed quickly all too well.. GL!

I got mine repaired and resprayed last month for the same reason. I paid $718.

There was no blending done into the hood or fenders nor do I think it needed it...it matches perfectly. IIRC the factory front fascia doesn't even get painted at the same time as the rest of the car anyway.

Mine is montecarlo blue.

No, I don't know the price of a replacement facia. I can guarantee that repairing it will cost a lot less. No, Alfa won't warranty this :wink2:

Consideringthis is an area that's subject to lots of scraping, and it's almost not visible, you might consider leaving it alone.

Mine is also scraped, and much more visible than yours. I wish it wasn't all scratched up, but it's part of the cars history now. I'm not even sure how it happened. It wasn't there when we started driving, but there it was when we stopped. Neither me or my wife were aware of anything that might have done it.

I did the same exact thing to mine (same color of car too) I almost thought that was a pic of my scrape. You can't see it unless you look under the car but I figured to not fix it now because I know its gonna happen again and no point of paying $400-800 every time it happens. I'm not used to a car that sits so low.

Mine actualy goes a tad bit higher up the bumper thanks to scraping on the angled part of the curb. Not really noticable since my car is vulcano anyhow and as long as someone has to look for it, I'm OK with it as-is.

I'll wait until the nose takes a hit then I'll refinish it. I got clear bra and I'm sick of paying for these little fixes now.

Wheels repaired 2x - driver's error- got a new receipt today
Windshield- 1x
Headlight thanks to an exploding engine in front of me (car threw rod out oil pan) 1x

Gotta end it sooner or later. Car only has $5K and has spent a fair amount of time and money in detail shops. I bought it to drive, not to preserve and stare it. It's gonna get banged up.

Nuts! I put skid strips on my active front splitter and the bumper edges, but they are a slightly smaller shape on the Quad. And this would only help from the bottom, not the side. This is another reason the 2018 Quad sits higher. You know, the wheel gap is so silly it looks a bit like a rally truck, with the control arm pivot visible from standing sight angles. Not so bad from farther away. I still back out gingerly from my driveway sans ramps, since my neighbor spotted for me a few months ago. I am lucky that the diffuser does not scrape with my cut angle, down hill. I used to use the ramps just to be sure but I have like 4 inches or a hands width clearance at least.

Honestly, wait until you scrape it enough that you break the mounting tabs on the portion from the headlight down to the front wheel well on the side. With enough scrapes those tabs will fail, and that’s when I’d pony up to replace the bumper cover. Note the lower portion likely cannot be replace separately the first time as the factory has been plastic welding them. After that, it should be a bit cheaper.

Cant believe it, but it happened again today. This time it was while leaving a parking lot i had been in before. And i pretty much crawled out of the parking lot... at an angle. The difference this time? I was in ‘dynamic’ mode with the stiffer suspension (which was the setting it was in on Thursday).

I’ve been driving in ‘dynamic’ for the last week or so, which sortof explains it. Is the car physically lower in this mode?

No, the ride height is consistent. It's probably your enjoyment level that changes with the DNA mode.

This is why I haven't bothered to repair the scrapes on my Giulia and my 4C. They would forever be in the paint shop getting minor boo boos fixed. I do try to go over certain dips and rises at an angle, and/or slow down, but that's not always possible or practical.

If you really feel the need to fix the cosmetic blemish, that is easily fixed without replacing any parts. A good paint guy can easily fix that for you.
